The founder of Your Edge originally started in sales by excelling in the character-building door to door sales industry. Our managing director Stephen Goknel achieved the revered “Lionheart” award for being the #1 highest revenue sales person in the UK in Southwestern Advantage. He became an expert at cost effective recruitment, delivering inspiring training and managing large sales teams.
In 2009 consumer electronics brand Orbitsound, who at the time was unknown, had revenues of £40,000. We recruited, trained and managed their sales teams, building revenue to over £2,500,000 and became the market leader in two years.
After meeting countless demonstrators, merchandisers and field trainers who worked for other brands through agencies it became clear that we were the ones pioneering the progress in this industry. One of the ways we achieve such consistent quality is because we genuinely care about challenging and developing the people who work for us. The personal development of ourselves and our employees is a true cornerstone of Your Edge.
We don’t shy away from our mistakes, every individual and company can improve, we discuss our failures openly to learn from them to continuously improve. We have experienced exceptional success in many different areas of sales for our partners, from getting 300+ different Currys and PC World store’s staff to sell the products we requested through to negotiating floor space on behalf of our partners, building, recruiting and training for highly profitable exhibitions for a variety of different brands.
To date we have always stayed true to our core value of going above and beyond to achieve the goals of our partners. We have recently recruited and trained new members in our back office and management team. Quality of service is incredibly important to us, so we choose which partners are a good fit to ensure our existing partners continue to receive the quality results they deserve.
